This letter provides notification about the features that will become obsolete at the release of Appeon PowerBuilder 2017 R3. Obsolete features are features that are available but are no longer eligible for technical support and will no longer be enhanced.
Notes on Obsolete Features:
- Creating Web service proxy for connecting to SOAP server will no longer be eligible for technical support. Customers who build Web service client that connects to SOAP server can choose to either continue using the feature without support, or use HTTPClient to call SOAP Web service. For more information, refer to this knowledgebase article: Call SOAP Web Service Using HTTPClient Object.
- OData data source will no longer be eligible for technical support. Customers who use OData data source can choose to either continue using the feature without support, or use HTTPClient and RESTClient objects to connect to RESTful web services.
